The Dude - SNMP problem, newbie question

Hi!

For the first - sorry for my English =)

Im using dude to monitor 8-10 HP Procurve Switches trough SNMP.

I faced waveform CPU highload on all of swtiches, as result ping from 1K-4K.

SWITCHES:
On switch settings are
version 2
community: public

THE DUDE:
version: 4.0-beta3
platform: windows server 2008R2

When sutting off dude - all OK.

Im using dude+snmp link for the fitst time, sorry for dump question.

The dude is trying to collect too much information from your switches. Start a new installation of the dude, set the polling probe interval up to 5 minutes and disable all auto discover, also under settings, misc, change Mac Mapping refresh interval unset resolve mac address manufacture. Set arp discovery to 24 hours. Do not modify anything on the chart tab. Manually add one switch add some services and see how it goes from there. If everything is stable reduce your polling to 1 minute if cpu spikes you are grabbing too much data with your services, eliminate any services you don’t really need.

Hi there!

Thanks for the answer - ill try it
