The Famous WISP

Hi everyone, I’m brand new to the whole MikroTik products, while my colleagues have little experience with it.

We have this MikroTik mAP2nD that we would like to use as a regular AP with its own LAN, as usual, for 2-3 devices, nothing fancy ! Here comes the fancy stuff though : we would like the Internet input to the router to be done wirelessly, hence the topic name : the famous WISP connection. See below for the picture (all links must be wireless) :

I have tried numerous things with both OS 6.35.4 and now 6.39.2, and have yet been able to have the router connected to another router giving internet connection and rebroadcasting it under its own LAN, with its own IPs (192.168.x.y) instead of the WISP’s IPs.

Thanks in advance for the help !

Ignore this.

You need to configure you wireless as the WAN, setup it the wifi in client mode. Then configure the ethernet ports as the LAN. It’s not a difficult setup, but you will need to head to the Wiki to learn more first.
