Short story:
- I am testing modems in the LHGR.
- The first modem was the stock cat6 that came with it.
- Right out of the box, it worked with 2 SIM cards. Had internet it was on IP 10.225…etc gateway…etc
I decided to try another modem. I installed it, and with the help of a member, we got the modem in LTE mode and fully functional.
- lte1 interface is there.
- it’s registered
- Carrier is identified
- Using the EXACT same apns and SIM cards
No internet. IT will ping once and then time out from there. The cellular module get the connection fully functional as reported by the LTE interface status while the routing in Mikrotik need to be configured to handle the modules provided NAT IP connection is what I assume…but I dont know.
-Modem fully functional
-ROS fully functional
No internet. The difference we see is the IP address. In the cat6, it was 10.225.xxx.x.x NOW it’s a 192.168.x.x. I assume that’s the problem. I assume that the route is not matching.
Anybody ever face that? Know what to do?
