Hi,
The Mikrotik web server is down,
→ Login page of hotspot not responding
→ Interface web of Mikrotik not responding (graphing page,…)
The whole works very well during the week, but today nothing more.
Is it possible to restart the web server, without having to restart the Mikrotik router entirely ?
Best regards
Connect to it via mac-winbox, and look at the logs, to determine why web server has stopped (hdd space full, etc).
In such case it would be best to reboot after cleanup.
Hi pukkita,
The logs are removed because there are only 1000 storage lines. So I made logging rules to a syslog server with the following topics:
error
critical
warning
info
I’m restarting the CCR tonight, and I’d be watching tomorrow.
Best regards

It is always a good idea to have a syslog server.
You can also enable tools->graphing for interfaces and resources (don’t store on disk) and then after a strange mishap you can see
what happened to CPU load, memory, disk space and traffic at the time it went wrong. Maybe there is a clue.

This problem is already resolved in 6.41rc release and fix will also be included in 6.40.3 RouterOS release.
