A bit of offtop, but just one short story of success
13:38 - I’m opening Support ticket
13:40 - Automatic reply received
13:51 - Getting reply from support team: “Currently you cannot do that… We will consider… in future…”
14:39 - I had a late lunch, asking for possible workaround
15:15 - “We added <…>. Next v6.3 will have this feature.”
Summing up: 11 + 36 = 47 minutes to add a feature, very small but useful for some people. =)
Thanks, MikroTik guys!
Meanwhile, waiting 9 days now for a reply regarding my ticket with MTU issues…
I gave all configs and diagrams needed to reproduce the issue too.
17 days for a question and additional info on (future) support for 100FX SFPs.
guys, you can’t scary me - I have an open ticket from 2008, Sep, 29th. those are just extremes
Reminds of Monty Python - Is that ticket dead? Or is it just resting?
They should think about using this quote on their website. This kind of success story will skyrocket their sales.
Chupaka what is the feature added?
adjusting of kernel’s icmp_ratelimit/icmp_ratemask
seems like we faced those limits in mtr monitoring of external hosts
