the signal is -3 but ccq = not good !!!!!!!!!!!

hi every one…i have a strange proplem …i have point to point link with my friend .we use sextant for this wireless link…the distance between my tower and my friend’s tower is about 800 meters…we together check the elevation and direction of both points ..they are very good…( sight to sight )
the main purpose of this link is to transmitte internet to my friend…i went to my friend home .. and checked the internet it was very perfect. …my question is/ as my friend signal is -3 !!!so why the ccq value is not good ( not 100/100 ) !!!
My greetings to all of offers useful information

That’s way too much signal. Try lowering the TX power of each radio until you get around -65 to -70 signal and see what happens.

thank you …but -3 is stronger 20times than -65…

I understand, but generally I find a signal strength of -55 to -65 is ideal. How much bandwidth are you getting between the links?

i will do the bandwith test and try to lower the tx power of the access point …but something i want to understand…why do you think that the -55 signal is ideal …do you mean that the -3 signal is bad

You are overloading the receiver sensitivity, turn down the power on both radios as already suggested.

-3 signal on wifi is the same as someone talking to you through a megaphone with the megaphone ON YOUR EAR.

The ideal signal range is around -50dB to -75dB. Ideal SNR is 30+.
