Threw the Tree's 3 miles away RB711?

I was a customer and received signals threw the tree tops 3 miles away where my tower was 50 foot. I moved to a second location 1 quarter mile down the road and maintained my signal there at 20 foot from ground level.

I am working on Deploying my very own equipment! I have no help here where I live and I have installed a 83’ tower. I have my rb711 at around 73’. I have installed a second client board and antenna onto my truck. Both antennas are 24 dbi matching parabolic grid antennas. I am not able to make these antennas perform like my service provider did. Why is it I cant get threw the tree’s like my isp did? The signals appear to be weak.

At the top of my tower when securely tied to it, I can visibly see the top of another tower 3 miles away (trying to hit the house by that tower.) I can see the trees there about 60 foot tall. It’s the only trees blocking my view to where I park my truck at that house to try and get a signal.I have an ladder rack on my truck that I use to mount the antenna. I’ll try to get a picture of that on here. Why cant I get threw the (line of trees)? my isp went threw 3 miles of trees and I cant get threw 1 line of them with the same equipment. I am using the exact same client RB711 version 3 that he used with me. It was programmed to my newly purchased version 4 RB711 as an access point. Is it possible he was using a more powerfull or different AP? I am stunned in confusion thinking I have something improperly programmed which is why I was playing with the Channel Bandwidth in the other post. I have only done testing with factory set Channel Bandwidth on whatever it comes set on.

Can someone help me find my problem? There’s a highway at the bottom of the tower where I park along the tree line. (Tower In Picture)

My ISP was said to have a HAND HELD device used to detect if you could get a signal or not, Why cant I do something like that As well?

I am seriously at the point of giving up. To anyone that is concerned, I’m not doing anything illegal. I own 2 companies and are partnered with my dad that also needs the net for company. dad dont do the computer but its a must for him in car bids and sales. I’m temped to dish it out but the data plans are crazy.

{The tower in the picture, you can almost see the towers ground if it weren’t for those trees.}

I cant actually se your problem? Is it performance issue?

How is your signal level? CCQ etc. Do you use N mode? both channels? how about frequency?

I cant get a connection. I have bgn set to factory settings. Its not a single seting i thknk its automatic. I chose 2.4 ghz cause thats what was used prior to get threw 3 miles of trees. I am litterly using the same client board so i know its possible. Im afraid to ask my isp guy that i no longer have service with. I felt as if he kept tuning me out inside the system resulting in a slow connection when i mentioned netflix. After i spoke to him about that it was said the leaves where the culprit. That was late summer.

Do you find the ssid/radioname during a scan? If you cant connect, check that your settings fit the AP. A common misstake is security.

I make sure i have good connections on both sides. I then drive to the second location with my laptop showing me the signal strength. Antenna mounted on truck. I hit the desired location and point the antenna in the proper direction threw the line of trees on the ground with no success. I was under the impression since my isp used the same eqipment and went threw a great amount of trees i could too. Its not working and im not able to install a tower to test if theres a signal there. I would have to strike a deal with a homeowner but first i must get a signal right? Thanks.

Anything?
