trying there to make ptp connection between two networks with pair of RB511. First, i have a try with wds. Throughtput, measured with mikrotik bandwidth test between two computers was only 8Mb/s. Then i have try with simple bridge-client connection, and throughtput was 10Mb/s. I was expecting at least 20Mb/s. Signal strength is fine (48-52) and Proxim MP11a perform well with up to 24Mb/s with same distance, same channel, antennas and cables. During test, i noticed that cpu usage on both RB511 is near 100%. Is this normal, and i cant expect more bandwith from this setup, or i miss something? After browsing this forum and reading about users, who using for such links computers with 2Ghz cpu’s i started think that RB511 is just too weak for highspeed links. Is this true?

If you would post the relevant config settings for your test setup (wireless, routing, …) perhaps someone could try to help you to judge your results better…
