i’m pleased to announce that my first Mikrotik-focused app for iPhone has been just released on the app store. Its name is TikScan and lets you execute scans on Mikrotik wireless interfaces.
TikScan uses SSH to connect to the device and launches the scan for the duration you specify: it’s also possible to check wireless interfaces in case you have more than one. You can choose the wireless interface you need just tapping on a stepper.
When the scan is completed, TikScan will show you the output on a window where you can also search for info you need. You can also take pictures and prepare a report with the result of the scan, including your current GPS coordinates (or those of a pin dropped on the map). The report can be sent by mail: TikScan will format the mail with scan results and a link to Google Maps showing the location you specified.
