Tilera EOL Schedule

We finished a large rollout of CCR1016 and 1036’s recently at a site to replacing aging 2011’s and 1100’s that seemingly feel like they’ve been running forever.
Is there some sort of EOL schedule when the Tilera gear will go EOL ? The gear isn’t hugely expensive so swapout isn’t the end of the world but I would at least like to get a couple of years out of the Tilera gear before junking it.

We initially wanted to go 2004’s but the site we rolled out is very much a low maintenance and low downtime site and we couldn’t risk installing unstable gear to such an environment.

Mikrotik does not specify EOL with their products. This would be first time AFAIK. I admit the tilera architecture isn’t likely to receive new gear, but even with that said, it will likely take ages before products are discontinued and after that many years before its support (software updates) is dropped.

Look for example at PPC architecture (RB3xx, RB600, RB8xx, RB1100AHx2, RB1100AH, RB1100, RB1200) All of these devices are discontinued since 2019. Yet, they are still receiving ROSv7

Alternatively, look at MIPSLE architecture (RB100, RB500). Support was officially dropped in ROS 6.32.3 in December 2015. However those devices are so old that I wasn’t able to find out when did mikrotik discontinue their sales. It was likely before 2010 and those devices survived several major versions (4, 5, 6) even after not being sold.

I’m curious if there will be any 48V models of the CRS2004, it will they be AC-only? Preferable fanless models as well.

IIRC, there will be a fanless version of the CCR2004-16G-2S+.
