I am using Dude v2.0 on WIndows XP Prof. Service Pack2. I am also using advanced SMTP server (free on internet) on my machine. Every time when I try to send an email notification to the email address after 5 - 10 seconds I got an TIMEOUT error. Microsoft Outlook’s SMTP setting are default and has the longest timeout time (10 minutes)… Is there a way to fix this ???

Does your SMTP server accept connections from The Dude machine? I can imagine SMTP services (by default) not accepting any connections (to prevent becoming open mail relays).
Can you send mail using that SMTP server with some other program on the Dude machine?
I test it on my Dude machine here. I am using QK SMTP server (free on internet) and it shows the connection established, shows the IP address of the dude machine and then closes the connection. After then I receive the “timeout” error on Dude…

V3.0 fixed the problem as far as I’ve seen. I am using QK SMTP server with DUDEv3.0
