you think by blocking the bad user topic you are solving a big problem where 10’s of ISP’s using RouterOS as a router,gateway,firewall,hotspot etc ..
forget the wireless .. what about wired users ???

samsoft, your problem is related to that AP which is NOT A MIKROTIK PRODUCT and so does not fit into this forum. wireless access is configurable on the AP, so please …
regarding wired users we already suggested to use pppoe or hotspot.
thats right , pppoe is the last and the ONLY secure solution as i think ..
but forget hotspot couse its nothing more than a DHCP + login page , and its so easy after connecting to scan all mac’s and ip’s and get in instead any online user without using user name and password ..
and the REPLY-ONLY is doing nothing in this security issue ..
this is what i end to .. its my last conclusion ..
maybe change your AP to RouterOS box then you will have more security options.
yes , changing my AP’s to RB is my new plan ..
and i need to know , when i have my main MT-PC as the gateway , web-proxy , firewall , etc .. do i have to let RB to do some firewall , caching or any other jobs beside the main jod which is wireless AP ?
I’m using RouterOS AP’s and some Cisco I have just switched to pppoe and I have no problems any more in wireless nor wired. I used to have a lot of problems with mac clone and stuff like that, but now pppoe has solved the problem and AP’s are running a very lite configuration, everything else is behind in the routers.
