I have a MikroTik RB1100AHx4 running RouterOS v7.19.4 and this morning I had noticed on my LibreNMS graphing that over the last few days the CPU utilization has been abnormal, I have run Tool->Profile and can see a process "ssid" continuously pinning a single CPU core at 100% utilization which keeps jumping between different cores. I have gone through the MikroTik Wiki Profiler documentation here but there is nothing documented for "ssid".
I have not yet managed to be able to reboot this device to see if it resolves the issue as I have online clients, does anyone have an idea what this "ssid" service is as there is no wireless radios or configuration on this device also this service does not show up on a device that is actually using wireless on the same version.
I’ve started seeing a similar problem on my old RB2011UAS-2HnD. It never had a problem and lately I saw similar CPU spikes to 100%.
Today it happened again, the CPU is sitting at 100% all the time and both the ssld and management process are consuming most of the CPU (… 40% each or so…).
Rebooting didn’t help, updating to 7.20.4 didn’t help either. This is not perimeter router and it’s not dealing with much traffic at all. CapsMan running on the box for 2-3 radios….
