Filter rules will block the packets but won’t stop the source from sending packets (and thus eating up your bandwidth). You have to block it upstream or complain to the source IP’s ISP.
If the src IP you want to stop is 88.150.175.32, then that one belongs to cheapwindowsvps.com
An IP Whois Lookup says to send abuse reports to tony@cheapwindowsvps.com
They’ll likely help since their losing bandwidth too.

they finally transferred me to the appropriate engineer who saw the issue, they blocked the IP from utilizing bandwidth at my level, then made it clear that they needed to escalate to their provider (Level3) as it was causing them some issues,…
I would think big time providers such as these would detect and block automatically then report the issue down the line.
Disappointing… Thanks for your help. I have never experienced this type of issue before…
One day when I’m using some blended BGP and have a choice between several upstream providers, I know who not to choose…
