How can I get a daily/weekly/monthly graph of the number of bytes going in/out of an interface? (traffic totalizer)

The web interface will give you interface stats. just make sure /IP services www is enabled and then fire up a browser to the router IP and click on graphs.
When I do that I get a page that is empty other than the banner: ‘Traffic and system resource graphing’.

Run Winbox, next ‘Tools/Graphing/Interface Rules tab’.
Then add interface you want to monitor.
