Total Newb - Cant create a network map

Hi,
Thanks for any help. I have tried both the Beta and release version and have spent an hour or thereabouts…

I Cannot seem to figure out how to get a network map?

Is it that you have to create a blank map of graphics first? And then somehow apply the addresses?
That cant be right..

Any simple how to is appreciated.

I drag Network Map/Local into a pane
I select Network Maps/Local
Select Discover
I choose layout map after discovery complete
I see it scan

I can see the devices under Devices/Mac Mappings (i am not getting any info on the type of device however)

once it starts scanning, devices start getting added to the map. if that doesn’t happen, it means Dude doesn’t see any devices. Make sure you entered a valid IP adress range, and appropriate number of “hops”. see this guide: http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:The_Dude/Device_discovery

Also this could mean that all your devices are firewalled, and don’t respond to the queries of Dude.
