Hi There,
I have a hotspot with multiple users connecting.
Our ISP has sent us an email saying that someone from the hotspot is spaming on port 25 but can not tell us who.
Is there a way of tracking down which computer is sending all the spam ?
Perhaps enabling a log etc ?
Thanks in advance

You can use torch to see what IP it is coming from.
I would just block port 25 altogether…

if you have set up publicly available access it would be very good if you set up outgoing e-mail scanning for spam, so blocking all the other SMPT is advised.

Try this…
TORCH the interface - set it to scan Port 25
You will quickly see which IP’s (users) are sending continious stuff to Port 25.
Delete them - and if they are running on a Hot Spot this should nail their Voucher time as well -
TEACH your users to play “nicely” - DO NOT let them dictate on your well earned network - they will quickly learn.
Hope this helps.
