is there anyway to monitor SIP traffic from users
my client wants to know who is using VOIP technologies and this is the main gateway onto the internet…
can someone please point me in the right direction

You can add log rule to firewall, that will mark SIP packets.
Use connection-type=sip and action=log in chain=forward, log print should show information about SIP packets on this router.
