Traffic Flow crash my Router OSv3.0rc6 (BUG! also on rc8 !!)

Hi

I want to monitor my network with NTOP and NET FLOW mikrotik feature.

But, when I add a Net Flow target , my RouterOs crash…!!!

Can this be a BUG ?

[linux@mikrotik] > /system resource print
                   uptime: 18m2s
                  version: "3.0rc6"
              free-memory: 204832kB
             total-memory: 256776kB
                      cpu: "Intel(R)"
                cpu-count: 1
            cpu-frequency: 3006MHz
                 cpu-load: 0
           free-hdd-space: 593072kB
          total-hdd-space: 2063692kB
  write-sect-since-reboot: 4184
         write-sect-total: 574528

I’ve tested with a Router OSv3.0rc6, running on a Intel core duo.
(also on rc8)

I’ve make memory test, and others hardware test without problem

when I enable traffic flow, I’ve not problems.
How ever, just when I add some target on traffic flow, Mikrotik crash. :frowning:
(using v9 traffic flow version)

(and, of course, I can’t monitor my network with ntop).

Thank you,
Andres.

Had same problem. Already submited bug report to MT.

Meantime downgraded to 2.9.47 which operates properly with traffic-flow enabled.

ok, thankyou laurinkus.

I’ve tested with RouterOS v3.0rc8 and have same problem

when I set “version 9” on traffic flow, Routeros CRASH !!!

It crashes after target host is set and first flow finished. Only x86 affected. Works fine on RB150

Looks like MT is ignoring this issue or working on it silently

YES ! excactly !

Thank you for the report about traffic-flow.
We have identified the problem, it should be fixed at the next release.

UPD: Traffic-flow should work when Dual Core is disabled, ‘system hardware set multiple-core=no’.

Hi Sergejs,

is it the same probelm that freezes my dualcore pppoe concetrator?

Regards
Ros

Hi,

this:

‘/system hardware set multiple-core=no’.

and Rc9 has worked !!

thank you !!

Thanks.

Now I’m happy with MT again. Both traffic-flow and DNS problems solved.

UPD: Traffic-flow should work when Dual Core is disabled, ‘system hardware set multiple-core=no’.

Hi Sergejs,

This will be fixed in next release candidate ? ( I need multiple-core=yes ) .
I get high cpu load if system hardware set multiple-core=no

thank you very much.
