Traffic Flow Sample Rate

Hi All.

We are seeing some wierd stuff with our Netflow feeds from RB’s into a new accounting package. One of the key settings is “sample rate” and just wondering as I can’t see where to set it the default sample rate on a RB Traffic Flow feed is?

At the moment we are seeing numbers that are just not possible based on the performance of the interfaces.

Any advice appreciated.

Could somebody confirm that there is no way to set sampling rate for traffic flow on MikroTIk?

cant find a setting for sampling rate.

NetFlow does not have sampling rate.

Sampling rate is for sFlow, mainly used in Switches. At this time, RouterOS does not support sFlow

However, many (all I tried) vendorrs support sampling in netflow/ipfix. Besides routeros.

Is there any chance that sampling rate will be added as other vendors support it? It’s common enough that applications integrate it as a requirement: https://github.com/vincentbernat/akvorado/blob/main/console/data/docs/05-troubleshooting.md.

Please add sFlow support!

Is much lighter for the CPU and memory than IPFIX.
Is much faster for the collector and analyzer receive and detect the first packages of somo anomaly in the network.
