Traffic Limiting group of user..

Hi all,

This is another message because i haven’t got any reply for my old post..
I want to put grouped hotspot users in to limited bandwith.

My investigation show me that when Hotspot users which have limit-rate attribute (either in user or profile) authorized from MT , MT create simple
queue for each user. And this simple queue belongs to “default” queue type.

However i want to add group of users into limited bandwith.
For instance user joe, bob and james have their rate-limit but i want to put
this users into shared limit..

Is it possible? I tried to solve my problem with packet mark but i haven’t success. Because hotspot dynamic queues may have more priorty..

mt 2.9 offers new option, Parent simple queue. This allows you to put several simpolke queues in the same group by parent queue which you can st limits as you wih. Those limits are applied to all subqueues.

I do not use hot spot so I cannot tell if you can set simple queues created automaticaly to have parent.
