trango to mikrotik poe pin out?

I have a number of trango poe’s that I would like to use on my mk equipment.

As I understand it the mk pin out is: pin 1tx+, 2tx, 3rx+, 4poe+,5poe+,6rx-,7poe-,8poe-

trango is: pin 1tx+,2tx-,3rx+,4poe-,5poe-,6rx-,7poe+,8poe+

I made a cat5 cable with pins 4,5 crossed with pins 7,8 at the other end. In this way I can plug one end into a mk radio and the other into a trango power injector and power the radio. injector is 24v.

I tried and checked the cable with a cable tester to make sure I had contact with all pins but the mk showed no leds and wouldn’t boot.

Has anyone ever done this? It doesn’t seem like rocket science.

Can anyone confirm the pin outs?

So in theory you should have

Side A Orange White | Orange | Green White | Blue | Blue White | Green | Brown White | Brown
Side B Orange White | Orange | Green White | Brown | Brown White | Green | Blue White | Blue

That should work - we do reverse polarity all the time. Trango PoE will work with Canopy with no modification.

Both Trango PoE and Canopy PoE injectors should work with Mikrotik by reversing the polarity.

Yup that’s what I did but no dice. I’ll make another cable in the morning and try another power injector. I have some canopy around too so I’ll see what I can do and post back. Thanks for the info.
