i have a connection of 12M , i had to traffic shape it so i bought RB1100 and made the traffic shaping using bridge, it is working and traffic shaping correctly but i noticed that i have a drop that occurs every 30 second approx, the connection drop from 12M to 2M for 2 or 3 seconds then i go back to 10 or 11M …
-my bandwidth is not full, i have another server not traffic shaped (6M connection) that do not have a drop problem.
-ping never give me request timed out to my server and to my devices on the same network segment…
-CPU and ram are not full, i am using mikrotik server L6 after the RB1100, i use PPPOE connection on the Mikrotik server for more than 700 client
i suspect it is a problem from the bridge
i would like to ask if i can remove the bridge and set up the transparent traffic shaping using switch on RB1100 (i can switch 5 eth on the same switch), will it work??
