Tranze CPE-90 Download Speed Problems

Hi All,

Trying to figure out an issue I’m having with our customers using Tranzeo CPE-90’s. All of our AP’s are either RB532 or RB112’s using SR2 or XR2 cards.

Clients using CPE-90’s have erratic download speeds. Upload speeds are fine. Not all CPE-90’s exhibit this problem, yet all are running the same firmware version.

None of our clients using 133c/R52’s, or Highgain units or 112/CM9’s are showing these problems, so we know it’s not a problem with our AP’s.

The problem is only with the CPE-90’s.

Talked to Tranzeo about the problem and of course they said their wasn’t any know issues with communicating with MT hardware.

BTW, all of our AP’s are using default settings for the wireless side. No NAT, wireless is bridged with eth and NATing is done at the main MT router.

Any suggestions?

Sincerely,

Greg Hayes

You’re mixing atheros and prisim chipsets.

Well, they worked fine for quite some time, then all of a sudden started having problems.

Is their a fix for this, other than replacing the Tranzeo units?

Has anyone tried to roll back to an older MT version to see if the problem goes away?

We haven’t tried rolling back. I’m not saying the CPE-90’s are the best radio’s, but they were working fine. I think the problem started around version 2.9.42.

I travel frequently and don’t want to attemp a rollback remotely.

It appears to be something unique to Tranzeo’s. Every other radio that has connected (so far) has worked great.

I really don’t want to give away 10 radio’s and just pitch the Tranzeo’s we have. Their has to be a fix for this somewhere.

could you contact directly to support@mikrotik.com about this problem.
Please include the support output file which is made during the time when the tranzeo cpe has slow speed.
Also give more detailed info about your network.
