I have a triple WAN with PCC load balancing and auto-failover.
I find it works great but has one minor flaw. If users are just surfing the net load balancing is just perfect. If a user is downloading maximum for hours then one WAN takes a hit. I have 7 PPC’s for each WAN using source and destination IP.
Question:
Some times to balance WAN’s, I was changing one of the PCC’s from the high usage WAN to the low usage WAN. I found this disrupted the end user, as they had established connections for the old WAN, but were now going out a different WAN. The disruption would last until the established connection cleared.
Would disabling the route of high usage WAN and having that WAN now be routed to the failover be less disruptive to the end user or do you know of a better way???
I think this is a good way of doing it, but would like some confirmation.
Thanks
Bob
