Hi all, I have a Pacific Wireless Sector Antenna 120º 16DBi, 2300-2700 ghz in a Cellulars tower. It’s serving 40 clients with a Linksys WRT54GL but they are too much for the Linksys, so I bought a RB333 with a Ubiquity XR2 card. The problem is that when I connected the RB333, all clients reported very high Signal Strenght with huge number of errors (CCQ 5%), and a lot of “Disconnected, Extensive Data Loss”. Finally every 2-3 minuts, everybody is disconnected.
Any suggestion how to resolve this issue?
Thank you and best regards
Try turning down the power on the AP. You went from a 75 mw radio to a 600mw radio. It is blasting the clients and it also has superior sensitivity so it can hear a lot more including both clients and noise.
You might also try some different frequency settings.
It sounds like there is too much noise (low CCQ). The loudest radio is not always the best.
Good luck,
Tom
Thanks Tom for your help. I will try but I’m pretty sure that I have a lot of interference (there are 2 GSM and TDMA cellular companies, an analog TV repeater, and some FM radios together in the same tower) What do you think about a passband filter?
Best regards
Start by posting your configuration so we can see if there is anything obviously wrong.
Hi: in wlan1 I have a 14dbi Pacific Wireless Backfire antenna, with 50 clientes. In wlan2 I have a 16 dbi 120º Sectorial Pacific Wireless. Both interfaces are Ubiquity XR2. I can’t transfer clients to wlan2 because I got too much errors in the client side (MT report 92% CCQ for example, but the CPE report 238:1 errors
