Hi, I am not a networker, and need help for a MikroTik CRS305-1G-4S+IN. I am not able to setup the router switch for a 3 esxi test environement. The switch have 1 Gb port for my standard LAN 192.168.1.x and 4 SFP 10Gb Ports.
Three of this sfpplus ports need a trunk with the vLans ID1 for my 192.168.1.x and ID4 with 172.24.7.x. I want to connect 3 esxi servers on the sfpplus ports 1-3. The fourth sfpplus port should be a normal 10Gb Port without tagging with 192.168.1.x Lan. I tryed a lot of configuration, but no connection and ping will work, only the fourth Port with a PC does work with the 192.168.1.x LAN (gets the DHCP and Internet access).
After the reset I set the 1Gb port to 192.168.1.2. Can someone help me with a script (or some printscreens) to add the 3 Trunk ports with the two IDs 1 and ID4?
Thanks a lot for your help!!!
Best regards

Go through this excellent tutorial.
BTW, I’d avoid using VLAN ID 1. ROS uses it as implicit default in many places and that can mess with your setup quite much.
Thanks Mix, to change the ID is no problem, mybe 100. But I need an exact example for setting up 3 SFP+ ports with 2 vLAN’s . I am am the only one for such a small config? I tryed to switch to SwitchOS, but it is not working, therefore I need the script for the router OS.
Thanks to all!
Number of physical ports (SFP+) or number of VLANs doesn’t matter, the concept is just the same. So I still suggest you to go through the linked tutorial.
Not sure what you are asking but if you are in charge of the config you need to put in some sweat equity to get it done.
Read the tutorial is very good. No spoon feeding here. ![]()
