I would like to try the Dude. The easiest appears to be to run a CHR. We have a VMware ESXi 6.0 server.
What is the easiest way to get CHR running there? It appears there is no OVF file, and I read a warning that
the VMDK file does not work on ESXi, only on workstation. Is that true?
And what Virtual Machine Version do I need to select when installing it? (4..11)

It would be so much more convenient when MikroTik uploaded an OVF file…
I have one as 9, also tried 11 and they worked both. It probably does not matter.
I think it would be enough if vmdk was created as scsi by MikroTik, so that it could be used directly without conversion. I see no advantage in publishing it as ide.
Ok I will try to get that conversion program installed somewhere and experiment…
I think when someone is serious about virtual appliance on VMware this is not the optimal way to distribute.
