hello in my apartment my interent is provided by the building owner, i have a cat5 cable with a WAP on it, when i want to use internet i have to go to a webpage and enter the username and password that was given to me, i have to do this on every device, ie phone, laptop, tv etc
is there anyway i can use a standard router from someone like netgear or dlink instaed of the wap and have the router automatically connect when one of my devices requests internet access
i have limited knowlede of networking but i do know how to admin my router
