Trying to install packages but they wont install.

RouterOS Beginner Basics

Using routeros 5.5, cannot get the 5.5 of calea to install.


It says its verified, but doesn’t give any system error with installing it, yet if you look under the packages its not installed.


How do I fix this?

I copied the npk file to the routeros box under the files window, and rebooted, and no luck.



Also do you guys install the calea server on the routeros and use the routeros + calea server on the same box?


I dont see why not but maybe I dont have a full understanding of this calea feature. Would be nice to make use of this 160GB hard drive in this routeros box haha

install new sofware using both netinstall tool and hyperterminal programme

hyperterminal program? (The one that comes with windows?)

Version of the installing package and version of the already installed RouterOs are matched ?

Perhaps this package it’s from another version of RouterOs (architecture or revision) ?

just follow the guide, or the video that was posted. all these things are explained there.
