Hi
i have this situation that i have to make a tunnel over an existing tunnel unfortunately i get about 15% packetloss when i do that.
i change and tried different mtu and different tunnel types but nothing worked so far
so please if anyone have same problem and got the solution let me know
Best Regards
What’s the packet loss rate for the used connectivity?
What’s the packet loss rate in the main tunnel?
Which type of “tunnel” are you using?
Is there any log detail you can provide?
What’s the packet loss rate for the used connectivity? 1%
What’s the packet loss rate in the main tunnel? at least 14%
Which type of “tunnel” are you using? i tried every tunnel mode and different mtu s
Is there any log detail you can provide? i tried to debug icmp but could not find any debug option related to icmp .
its so weird
If you use ping to test packet loss and vary the packet size, does the packet loss increase?
It seems logical to me that with nested tunnels that packet loss in the outermost tunnel will cause greater loss in the inner tunnels, especially if any of the tunnels use TCP for transport!
