Two interfaces with the same MAC, it is possible?

Hi

This is the situation:

ONT ----> mikrotik ----> router from the provider

I have connected the ONT with the eth1 (gateway). In this interface I have changed the MAC address the same as router from provider, the validation in the provider requires the specific MAC of his router. By this Ethernet I have internet IP without problems.

In the router provider I have the VoIP but for the registration in the network needs the MAC address. I have configured the eth5 connected to the WAN port of the router.

How can I have the same MAC address into the eth1 and eth5 to work internet (eth1) and VoIP (eth5)?

Thanks

What model Mikrotik?

Which port on the Mikrotik is connected to ‘router from provider’?

Which other ports on the Mikrotik are connected to what?

You really didn’t give us a lot of information to help you with…

Thom

You can make a bridge and put required mac address to it. Then just enslave ethernet ether1 and ether5 to that bridge.
