Hi,
I am using a RB993 as a hotspot gateway and user authentication, and when I do the setup for my hotspot, the pool is generated, so I use this pool on the user profile too.
The problem I have is that on the IP, Pool, Used address, I have two IP address for the same MAC.
So my question is; Should I use the same Pool Address on the server and user Profile?, or any suggestion on what is the best configuration?
The scenario of the use of my hotspot
I have a RB493, as a hotspot Gateway, on port 5 I have a ubiquiti Access Point Rocket M
On the customer side I have Nanostation M5, configured as router, getting DHCP from the Hotspot.
What I am looking is to have always the same IP asigned to the CPE (Nanostation M5), but only one not two.
Thank you in advance for your time giving me some advice.
In “/ip hotspot” the address pool should be set to “none”, often this is filled out by the wizard to a pool name. In “/ip hotspot user profile” the address pool should be set to none if you manually defined one. In “/ip hotspot user” the address should be empty or set to 0.0.0.0 if that is filled out.
Thanks a lot, Fewi .
Now my Hotspot is not assigning new IP just take the one that was assigned by the DHCP, and from my management system I can know the IP that the devices I am managing has all the time. excellent help!!!.
Best regards
