I never do things the normal way so as always I need help.
NIC one goes to the ISP and is the hotspot address all is well. I can hit it just fine from any computer.
NIC two goes to the local house net.
I want to use the hotspot to authinticate outside users to access other computers on my net on NIC two.
What I can’t do is see anything on NIC two also no computers can go to the internet from NIC two.
Is this a routing issue or a NAT issue both or neither??
Thanks
well. Considering you never do things the normal way…
It will be kind off impossible to give you any possible answer without seeing what abnormal way you have followed to try and achieve what you want.
Is it possible, it should be. Does it work, more than likely not otherwise you would not be here. Can we help you? Post some configurations that you did, and let’s have a look I guess?
Ether 1 config for Hotspot and access from ISP
This part is working fine.
Ether 2 config for house LAN 10.41.16.1 DHCP running and working.
I can’t figure out how to pass traffic from one card to the other.
All of the computers on the house LAN are running web servers. These are remote monitors for Television transmitters. I thought that once a user was logged on I would use links on the status page to send them to the right in house web site / computer in house.
It should be simple?
Heck if someone wants to help me I’ll set them up a admin user name and password and they can winbox / telnet to it.
Hmm, so you want the internet to be able to come via the hotspot, and access 10.41.16?? ![]()
You’ll need to dst-nat that…
