Even it is not smart to use omni antenna as static client normally, the approach would be: r1 set as station bridge and bridge ethernets with wifi. Scan for Ap and connect. R2 to set like home Ap and use the wan port to join with one of ports of r1. Take care to use non overlapping network address on your lan of r2 with addresses of outer network and not to overlap the wifi frequencies of r1 and r2. The rest depends on local conditions and your other needs.
Ok. First remove all config and do not touch quickset. Then create a bridge and put all interfaces into it. Then set the station bridge mode to wifi, let it search the Ap and press connect. If necessary, set the default security profile values. No more things are necessary. If you have connection problems, see the log.
I created a bridge - set the wifi adapter it and the main interfaces. Now I’m locked out…
I can find the MAC address of the wlan under the neighbors tab in Winbox but when I try to connect it says Error: could not connect to (and shows the MAC address)
Anyone know how to factory reset a hAP lite? There is only a single button on the back. I have unplugged, pressed the button down, plugged power back in and help the button down for 5 seconds… Doesn’t work. I’ve also tried 10 secs and 15secs and I’ve done this about 30 times and nothing works… Any ideas
Connect the client device by only one port to your computer having all other ports unconnected. Then search for Ap by wlan of this device and make the connection to it. If does not work, see the log on both sides what it states about the connection tryout and its result. You would need to correct some wifi settings to match.
