TX-power settings problem

Hello everybody! In my RB 951 i can not set to the “card-rates” option. This error has appeared:"Could not change Interface wlan1,not supported tx-power mode. I am using ROS 6.7. This device has a strong Wifi, and i need to set the Tx-power about 5 dBm

in this wirelesss chipset you can use only “ALL RATES FIXED”

try it…

But it is can damage the card if i good remember, but it is working very well, the signal strenght is about -60dBm,thank you for your help

I don’t believe it’s a chipset issue, this used to work in 6.6 and prior, it appears to be a bug in 6.7… I have the same problem with RB2011’s, but RB493s with R2n/R52n cards work fine.

I’m facing the same problem on RB912UAG-5HPnD.
If it’s a BUG please fix it.

I opened a case with support, the bug was in v6.6 and earlier in letting us use “card rates” before with this chipset. we have to use “all rates fixed”.

card-rates option never worked for AR9300 chipset card - it was ignored and not changing the tx-power values.
We fixed it so you could only select the default or all-rates fixed option.

all rates fixed does not work properly as the link starts dropping after a while and ccq goes down
when will this be fixed to work properly in the software and hardware

We haven’t received any report that the all-rates-fixed option would not work with AR9300 wireless.
please tell us exactly what happens when you lower the output power on the wireless link?

when you have a link of 5km and the signal is too strong you want to use card rates of say 18 or 20 to make the signal not so strong
this is not possible anymore so now we have to use fixed rates on 18 or 20
after a while ccq starts to drop and data is very bad till the link does not work anymore and must be switched off and on again to work
why would mikrotik use a chipset with this problem and then say u must use fixed rates when they know there is a problem with the chip or ros
now we have to use default tx settings with a signal of -43 because the card and chipset dont work properly and make a lot of noise

we just updated that FAQ with info about AR9300 and newer wireless chipsets.

defenitely not good unless the problem can be fixed

It is not fixable as it is newer chipset limitation - only all-rates-fixed option is working.

sorry, I did not get it
it`s the only option, that is working with AR9300?
what about “manual” or “defaul” options?

default and all-rates-fixed is working on the AR9300 chipsets.
