I Buy a RB433AH with Atheros AR5413 5Ghz wireless card & five RBSXT 5HnD.
I want the RB433AH set to an AP & all RBSXT set to client. such as ( point to multipoint service )
I configuration the RB433AH with below parameters:
Mode: AP Bridge
Band : 5GHz-A
Channel width : 20 MHz
and configuration the RBSXT 5HnD with below parameters:
Mode: station bridge
Band : 5GHz-A
Channel width : 20 MHz
after the RBSXT 5HnD connect to the AP , I see Tx/Rx rate with these value : 6 Mbps/6 Mbps in registration tab.
why Tx/Rx are 6 Mbps/6 Mbps ? I need more than current value.
Note : the distance of our devices is 10 meters ( in my room )
Try lowering the Tx power of your radio cards, both on AP and SXT. Set the Distance value to ‘indoors’ under the advanced tab. The signal is probably too strong. Remember to set the values back to default when you will install the routers outdoors.
the connection is established using basic (ie usually lowest) modulation scheme = 6mbps. Once the link will have enough data sent it will try to use higher modulation schemes. Try to ping (or MAC ping) the other end od the link and see what happens.
