Hello everybody just a simple question i have a U.S. robotics serial modem and i can’t find the driver in the MK driver’s list (mikrotik 2.9.6)
how can i make my modem work in the mikrotic.

You don`t need a driver :confused: .

Just connect it to the serial port of the router and configure it. What purpose does it serve for.

ok i conect to the internet throw a reguliar modem and can u help me with the configuration plz how can i make a dial up conection with modem in the mikrotik.

the ppp client IS the dial up connection. you specify the phone number in the ppp client settings. that’s all

my friend i know that the ppp client is the dialup connection and i specify the phone number but in windows u click dial to establish the connection how can i dial this connection in mikrotik this is my question.

interface ppp-client enable YOURINTERFACE. Just to inform you that there is a bug when you set idle and session timeouts. It doesn`t disable the interface but it just restarts the connection.

are u saying that when i enable the ppp interface MT dial the connection automaticly :S

ok now it’s done i can establish a dialup connection still need to share this connection with my local interface (192.168.0.1) with enabling the ability of proxy server for the explorer.
