ubnt bullet on tower + two RB493AH: some hints ?

We have some (problematic) towers where is very important db loss and a very fast replacement of radio.

We want to try the following solution:

  1. using of ubnt bullets attached directly to antennas (two each antenna, double pol):
  • pro: avoid cable loss (avoiding RF cables), fast replacement, cheap, redundancy, ?
  • cons: cannot use nstream, ?
  1. at the bottom of the tower two RB493AH in VRRP:
  • pro: fast replacement, cheap, redundancy, ?

  • cons: ?

  • the bullets are simply configured to bridge two remote rb493 ports and used only for ptp links

  • sectors will be linked to a mikrotik access point (we love nstream)

I calculated the total price is the approx same as using a case with rb411ah and rb52 for each antenna, without using rb493ah.

Could someone suggest new pro and cons of this architecture ?

thanks

Seems like a good plan. UBNT devices are great for point-to-point backhaul but RouterOS is far superior for router stuff.
