I have a few instances on our network where Ubnt radios are point at Mikrotik stations, and when we do this, the discovery protocols don’t seem to quite agree with eachother. The Ubnt device can’t get the station IP address, and on the discovery page in the Mikrotik, we can’t see the Last IP of the Ubnt device.
Does anyone know if there’s any way to get these two devices to agree a little better on CDP so these fields might be filled correctly? It’s not a massive issue, but it makes data-keeping a little harder when I’m in the Ubnt radio and I can’t get instant access to the IP address of the AP.
I’ve noticed a few people with this issue on the Ubnt forums, but no one seems to be very helpful over there, so I figured maybe we could tackle it from the Mikrotik side of things.
