UDP packet loss using nstreme on long links

We have a ptp link over about 68Kms, and have a good connection, bandwidth test shows good tcp throughput with no packet loss((20MB TX and 21 MB RX), however udp bandwidth shows good throughput(26MB TX and 27 MB RX) with packet loss, how do I stop this, running nstreme with dynamic size, polling enabled CSMA disabled, dynamic fit with 3200 framer, seems to give me the best results, but cant get rid of packet loss.

TCP uses TCP’s own mechanism to slow down. UDP test has to emulate this by always increasing rate until packet loss.
Otherwise the transmitting side would transmit faster than the link can handle (e.g. 100 Mbit/s over a 30 Mbit/s pipe)

sten i agree with you…

what is the hardware you are using for the 68kms link?? can you please share the same?
