UEFI-only RouterOS install not working (non CHR)

Hi community,

tried since 2 days to get RouterOS 7.3.1 or 7.4rc2 installed in an UEFI only x86 board.

So far I did:

Burned iso to CD, booting PC, CD isn’t showing up in UEFI boot menu.

Imaged USB Stick with *.img’s, can boot, came to RouterOS boot menu, set to boot from 128MB RouterOS Installer entry → PC is frozen, keyboard is frozen, only I can turn off machine or hard-reset.

CHR in Hypervisor is not an solution !

Till x86 UEFI boot and INstallation is officially supported in 7.3 I need some help to get this machine to run as router cause in EU it’s hard to get the right hardware (all possible devices for me are out of stock).

Hi community,

since posted I´ve got no solution for my MiniPC and installing RouterOS over UEFI-only-BIOS.
Also further the EU stores don´t have my favourite router machine in stock.

So I decided to switch to another machine and now at 17W with RouterOS x86 L4 and Dual Intel NIC.

So far configuration is working with VLANs, interVLAN routing, firewalling, etc.

Another problem having with my CRS309 switch but therfore i´ll post an other thread.

This topic can be closed.
