Kindly assist. I have established vpn connection over the internet between a mikrotik hex router and a cisco router. When i connect a laptop to the mikrotik router, i am able to ping the laptop from the cisco router(VPN Concentrator). But when i connect a router behind the mikrotik router. I am unable to ping even when default route is configured in the router pointing to the mikrotik router. Attached is a diagram for your review.
The answer depends on the actual configuration. Start by following the hint in my automatic signature below; if that’s not sufficient to find the issue, you may have to post also configurations of the other elements than the Mikrotik.
You do NOT need any static routing. Its all done with the IPsec phase 2 SAs automatically when the tunnel establishes.
