Here’s a little script that I’ve tried to write to disable rules 15 and 16.

/ip firewall filter disable 15
/ip firewall filter disable 16

It doesn’t work.

I’m not hot on scripting.

What have I done wrong?

How do I fix it?

I’m attaching a screen shot. When I click on “run script”, the script allegedly runs, but nothing happens.

Thanks

I notice in your images that in the script code after the 15 and 16 is a rectangular shape instead of a “;”. Any reason for this? Have copied this script and pasted into a terminal window? It should work there as well, and if it doesn’t, will possibly highlight the error it has.

Mangwanani Shamwari!

I labeled each rule that I want to manipulate and now have a working script.

/ip firewall filter enable [find comment="J-Out"]
/ip firewall filter enable [find comment="J-In"]

Which company are you with?

Chisarai.

We operate an ISP in Mutare. Do WIMAX and VSAT systems. Operate under the name “Earthstation”.

The WIMAX is local to Mutare ODZI Vumba area, all entirely on Mikrotiks. VSATS are installed across the country, and our “T&C/s” (to our clients) on those systems insist we have an RB750 as the edge router at at each site. Saves 1000’s of km’s of driving. And we never have “low speed issues”, all traffic is shaped by the 750’s, our upstream providers in the UK love us!

Cheers
Brian

I was born in Mutare. Attended what was then Umtali Junior School.

My “musha” is Nyazura.
