Unable to reinstall Routerbord

Hi,

My routerbord stop working from time to time. When it happens i have to startup netinstall and do a reinstall.
But today this will not work for me.

netinstall startup and device get present. When looking in packages there is empty my suggested packaged will not be visable.
The routerOS that i have used early routeros-mipsbe for my RB495G

The i tried to download all modells and then netinstall will match with routeros-smips but trying to install it ends with a format error…

How can i get my routerbord up and running again?
Hilfe…

I can think of two reasons for your device to fail:

  1. power adapter is failing. Replace it with new one, same specifications (or slightly higher power, same voltage)
  2. NAND storage failed. In this case your RB is fubar.

When looking in packages there is empty my suggested packaged will not be visable.

Ofcorse it is empty.. you should browse to the path where your packages are and then they will be listed.

Also you could try with a different netinstall version…
If the problem persists then obviously there is a hardware problem…

Have browse to the folder, have tried diffrent paths to where i have os files.
Have tried old version that i used last time, have tried both new long-term and stabel version without succés.

I dont have any experience with this specific router model, but in your post you mention the board use to use mipsbe, why are you trying to apply smips package?

From wiki there was a note if you where unsure of with image to use, download all and netinstall will pick right one for you.
thats why i tried with smips,

I ve used netinstall many times… it does not select any package by it self…
I have not tested what it does in case you have a mipsbe architecture device and you browse to a path with smips package, does it show them in the list or not!!!
