Has anyone else experienced the inability to upgrade from 7.1.5 to 7.2? I have an x86 KVM VM (under the old licensing model, not a CHR) which I am unable to upgrade to version 7.2 - it fails with the error “disk is too small.” Thing is this VM has a disk size of 7GB and has less then a 100MB of files. Any tips on forcing this VM to upgrade?
Thanks for the suggestion, when I switch to the ‘testing’ channel and try to update to 7.2.1 I get the same ‘installation of system-7.2.1 failed: disk is too small’ error.
Figured I’d post an update to this. Heard back from MT support, this is apparently the result of a bad release and the only way to recover is to wipe and re-install. if anyone else is on 7.1.5, and experiences this issue, re-install is likely the only recourse.
Thanks for “heads up”. Hopefully it will be fixed in next 7.2 release (or is the bug in 7.1 making it impossible to be updated?).
And it’s always good to backup the disk image before updating in case something happens… with Mikrotik you never know what may happen.
Sadly the bug is in 7.1.5, anyone who is on that release is screwed and unable to update to newer versions without a re-install At least on x86 hardware.
