I’ve got a couple of Mikrotik devices which I am trying to unbrick, my 750GL being one of them.
I have netinstall running, computer on IP 192.168.88.2 and netinstall set to allocate IP 192.168.88.1, I’ve downloaded routeros-mipsbe.npk (and all of the other available router packages) and I have wireshark running. I hold the reset button down, it requests and is allocated an IP via bootp, and then it requests vmlinux using tftp. I see a bunch of ETHERNET FRAME CHECK SEQUENCE INCORRECT messages in wireshark, but the file seems to transfer ok. After that, I get absolutely nothing, no further packets from the router at all, my PC tries a few ARP requests which go unanswered, ping fails and it does not show up in netinstall. Is there something I’m doing wrong, something else I can try, or could it be a hardware fault?
Thanks for the reply, I’ve just given this a try, closing all applications and still the same behaviour on a couple of different host PCs. Any other suggestions?

Which seguence are you using on the device? There is 2 Mode to boot in NetInstall mode.
Trying factory defaults (push reset button for 20 second after it is swtiched on) after 5 minutes push the reset button for 60 second and wait 5 minutes
