This would be a great feature, I’ve locked myself out more then once and had to reset config and start from my last backed up state. Undo would save tons of time.
It would be a nice quick feature, but note that you can also access the router via the serial port using the
de-facto-standard RS232-RJ45 cable (Cisco blue cable, also compatible with 3com and Procurve switches).
Serial ports work. But I have had issues with the techs onsite not having serial cables. I have only ran into a situation where it would have been helpful once or twice. But when I did need it, it would have saved me about an hour each time.

I agree. Sometimes asking someone to push a button is easier, than travelling to the router by yourself. At least there will be a good reason to use these LCDs. ![]()
