Unifi Network Controller via Mikrotik Wireless Setup

Hi all,

This is my first experience working with the Mikrotik wireless LAN and Unifi network controller system. My setup is quite simple. I just want to give internet access to clients in different buildings, while managing the Unifi access point centrally. And I’m quite happy with the results.

Wireless devices:

  • Mikrotik mANTBox as “ap bridge” for central
  • Mikrotik SXT as “station bridge” for clients

Access Points:

  • Unifi Cloud UCK G2 Plus
  • USW 8 POE Switches
  • Unifi access point (various versions)

When something goes wrong, login to client antenna (SXT) via WinBox and SSH to intended Unifi devices

On Winbox, open terminal and type:

/system/
ssh unifi-ip-address src-address=xst-ip-address user=unifi-ssh-user

Hope this help for those who want a similar setup.

The diagram labelling needs work.
How do vlans 1920,1930 just popup out of the blue ( actually red and orange) for example. They should be traceable back to the 750.
Its also not clear what is the management VLAN ( the vlan where every smart device should get its IP address from ). It would appear to be vlan99 but I fail to
see a vlan99 address on SXT1,2, MANT, or the two USW-8s???

Yes, Anav… need time to draw a complete diagram. Hopefully in the near future.

In short, there are two approaches: client have its own DHCP server, or everything is centralized. Currently I use the first approach on my setup.
