Just thought I would let you know we have an irc channel which we are using for users to discuss/help on routeros and routerboards.
Its at irc://irc.z.je/routerboard
It is also available on IPv6 at irc://6.irc.z.je/routerboard
Please note that this is not an official support channel, just a way for users to get together and chat in real time.

we would prefer if the official mikrotik discussion channel would be here, hosted by mikrotik. you are free to make other communication channels, but we can’t have them advertised here.
thats ok normis … but pls do join the channel and see that your products and software are very much promoted I think you would be very pleased despite it being non official
theres no better advertising than word of mouth from satisfied users … I’m sure youll agree
oh and note the ipv6 address … quite a few of us use that

Yes, but the post is recent and reflects the idea that the IRC is up and running and helpful!
If only that channel actually existed, or maybe my IRC skills are as good as my MT skills.
Probably worse, because as far as I know, you are able to connect and login to MikroTik router. The channel exists, works and there are some people connected. Not sure it it’s ready for you, but you can keep trying. I don’t use it, just a quick test.
we would be better of with a discord support server …
